Meri pehli aptitude test mein maine 18 problems mein se sirf 7 sahi kiye the. Time khatam ho gaya, anxiety mein galat options mark kar diye, aur ek section toh chhod hi diya tha. Result? Cutoff se neeche. Reject.
Aur sabse frustrating baat kya thi? Ki mujhe topics aate the, college mein maths achhi thi, reasoning bhi theek-thaak tha. Lekin exam hall mein time pressure mein sab kuch bhool gaya.
Yeh bahut common problem hai. India Skills Report 2026 ke according, 84% students feel karte hain ki woh placement exams ke liye unprepared hain. Aur unmein se zyaadatar ka problem yeh nahi hai ki unhe concepts nahi aate, problem hai speed, accuracy, aur exam temperament.

Time & Work: LCM method seekho, yeh fastest approach hai. "A can do work in 10 days, B in 15 days, together?", LCM method se 10 seconds mein solve hota hai. Traditional fraction method se 1 minute lagta hai. 10 seconds vs 1 minute, yeh fark exam mein matter karta hai.

Speed Tricks Jo Exam Mein Time Bachayenge:
- Multiplication tables 20 tak yaad karo, basic hai but bahut kam log karte hain. 17 x 13 = 221 instant yaad hai toh 5-10 seconds bach jaate hain har calculation mein.
- Squares 30 tak yaad karo, 1-30 ke squares. Bahut calculations mein shortcut ban jaate hain.
- Percentage-Fraction equivalents, 25% = 1/4, 33.33% = 1/3, 12.5% = 1/8, yeh instant conversion speed badhata hai

1. Pen aur paper USE KARO
Dimag mein solve karne ki koshish mat karo, yeh sabse badi galti hai. Blood relations mein family tree banao. Seating arrangement mein diagram draw karo. Number series mein differences likho. Pen pe karne se accuracy dramatically improve hoti hai. Maine pehle dimag mein karta tha, 60% accuracy. Pen pe kiya, 85%+.
2. Elimination method
Har question ke 4 options hote hain. Agar 2 clearly galat hain, toh choose between remaining 2, 50% chance vs 25% chance. Smart guessing bhi ek skill hai.

R.S. Aggarwal se concepts aur formulas samjho. Phir IndiaBix, PrepInsta pe timed practice karo. Reason? Online practice mein timer hota hai, yeh exam environment simulate karta hai. Book mein timer nahi hota, toh tum leisurely solve karte ho, exam mein phir time pressure handle nahi hota.
(Haan, R.S. Aggarwal boring hai. 800+ pages. Har page pe 50 problems. Eye-watering. Lekin results deti hai. Maine puri book nahi ki thi, sirf important chapters ke solved examples kiye the, woh bhi enough tha.)
Exam Day Tips, Last Minute Strategy#
Before Exam:
- 8 ghante ki neend, sleep deprived dimag se aptitude solve karna = disaster
- Light breakfast, heavy khana mat khao, neend aayegi
- Formulas ek baar revise karo, sirf ek baar, panic mein revision mat karo
- Admit card + ID ready rakhho (online exam ke liye system check karo 1 ghante pehle)
During Exam:
- Pehle easy questions solve karo, puri test ek baar scroll karo, easy ones pehle karo. Confidence build hota hai aur guaranteed marks secure hote hain.
- Time allocation decide karo, agar 90 min mein 70 questions hain toh roughly 1.2 min per question. Kisi ek question pe 3 min se zyada mat lagao, skip karo, baad mein aana.

Aptitude prep boring hai. Monotonous hai. Roz 50 problems solve karna grind hai. Bahut baar lagega "mujhse nahi hoga" ya "main enough smart nahi hoon."
Yeh feelings normal hain. Maine bhi feel kiye.
Lekin ek baat yaad rakhho, aptitude test talent test nahi hai, practice test hai. Jo zyada practice karta hai, woh zyada score karta hai. Simple as that. Koi genius-level IQ nahi chahiye, consistency chahiye.
Mere batch mein ek banda tha, academically average, CGPA 6.5. Usne 45 din prep kiya, roz 3 ghante, bina break. TCS NQT mein Digital cutoff clear kiya. Aur ek topper tha, 9+ CGPA, usne prep nahi kiya, "mujhe aata hai" socha. NQT fail. CGPA se aptitude test nahi clear hota, preparation se hota hai.
