200 Application Bheje, Ek Reply Nahi Aaya?#
Yeh story almost har job seeker ki hai. Naukri pe apply karo, LinkedIn pe apply karo, company ki website pe jaake apply karo. Phir baitho. Wait karo. Kuch nahi hota.
Pata hai kyun? Kyunki jab tum job portal se apply karte ho, tumhara resume 500+ logon ke saath ek pile mein gir jaata hai. ATS filter karta hai, aur zyada tar resumes kisi human tak pahunchte hi nahi.
Lekin ek aur raasta hai jo bahut kam log use karte hain: directly recruiter ko email karna. Cold email. Bina kisi introduction ke, bina kisi referral ke, seedha email.
"Par bhai, recruiter ko directly email karna toh awkward hai na?" Nahi hai. Bilkul nahi hai. Recruiters ka kaam hi hai acche candidates dhundhna. Agar tum unke inbox mein ek achha email bhejte ho, toh tum unka kaam easy kar rahe ho.
Problem yeh hai ki zyada tar log nahi jaante ki kya likhein. Ya toh bahut formal ho jaate hain (Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my interest...), ya phir itna casual ki professional hi nahi lagta.
Is post mein main tumhe 3 ready-to-use templates dunga. Har ek alag situation ke liye. Copy karo, apne details daal do, aur bhej do. Aur har template ke saath main explain karunga ki kyun kaam karta hai.
Cold Email Bhejne Se Pehle: 5 Rules#
Templates se pehle, kuch rules samajh lo. Yeh follow nahi karoge toh best template bhi kaam nahi karega.
Rule 1: Sahi Insaan Ko Email Karo
"HR Department" ko email mat bhejo. Specific person ko bhejo. LinkedIn pe jaake dekhte ho toh company ka recruiter ya hiring manager mil jaata hai.
Kaise dhundhein:
- LinkedIn pe company search karo
- "People" tab mein jaake "Recruiter" ya "Talent Acquisition" search karo
- Jo person us role ke liye post ya comment kar raha hai, wohi sahi target hai
- Email dhundhne ke liye: [name]@company.com try karo (zyada tar companies mein yeh format hota hai)
- Hunter.io ya RocketReach pe bhi email mil sakta hai
Rule 2: Subject Line Short Aur Specific Rakho
Subject line mein 6-8 words se zyada nahi. Recruiter ka inbox full hota hai. Agar subject line boring ya generic hai, open hi nahi hoga.
Achhi subject lines:
- "B.Tech CSE grad, Python + Cloud, interested in SDE role"
- "Referred by [Name], applying for Data Analyst position"
- "3 years exp, full-stack dev, looking at [Company Name]"
Buri subject lines:
- "Job Application" (boring, ignored)
- "Requesting an opportunity" (too formal, says nothing)
- "Please help me find a job" (desperate, immediate delete)
Rule 3: Email 100 Words Se Zyada Nahi
Recruiters ke paas time nahi hai 500 word ka email padhne ka. Tumhara email 4-5 lines ka hona chahiye. Who are you, what do you want, why should they care. That's it.
Agar aur details deni hai, resume attach kar do. Email ka kaam sirf itna hai ki recruiter resume open kare.
Rule 4: Personalize Karo, Copy-Paste Mat Karo
Agar tumhara email generic lagta hai (it could be sent to any company), recruiter ko samajh aa jaata hai. At least company ka naam, role ka naam, aur ek specific reason include karo ki kyun ye company.
"I have always been passionate about your company" mat likho. Kuch specific bolo: "I read about [Company's] new AI product launch last month, and I think my cloud + ML background would be a good fit."
Rule 5: Follow Up (Ek Baar, Zyada Nahi)
Agar 5-7 din mein reply nahi aata, ek polite follow-up bhejo. Sirf ek. Zyada follow-ups annoying hote hain.
Follow-up simple rakho: "Hi [Name], just checking if you got a chance to look at my earlier email. Happy to share any additional details. Thanks!"
Template 1: Job Portal Pe Apply Kiya, Ab Direct Contact Kar Rahe Ho#
Yeh sabse common situation hai. Tumne Naukri ya LinkedIn se apply kar diya, lekin tumhe pata hai ki woh application 500+ logon mein doob jayegi. Toh tum recruiter ko directly bhi email karte ho.
Kab use karo: Jab tumne already apply kar diya ho aur apne application ko highlight karna chahte ho.
Subject: Applied for [Role Name], [Your Key Skill] background
Email:
Hi [Recruiter Name],
I recently applied for the [Role Name] position at [Company Name] through [Naukri/LinkedIn/company site]. Wanted to reach out directly since I think my background is a strong match.
Quick snapshot: [Your Degree] from [College], [X years experience / fresher] with hands-on experience in [Key Skill 1] and [Key Skill 2]. [One specific achievement or project, with numbers if possible].
I have attached my resume for quick reference. Would love to discuss how I can contribute to the team.
Thanks, [Your Name] [Phone Number] [LinkedIn Profile URL]
Kyun kaam karta hai:
- Tumne already apply kiya hai, toh recruiter ko ek aur channel se tumhara naam milta hai
- "Quick snapshot" se recruiter ko 5 seconds mein samajh aa jaata hai tum kaun ho
- Achievement mention karne se tum 500 mein se alag dikhte ho
- Short hai, respectful hai, time waste nahi kar raha
Real Example
Maan lo Rajesh ne TCS mein Software Developer role ke liye apply kiya. Uske email ka example:
Subject: Applied for SDE role, Java + Spring Boot, 2 yrs exp
Hi Priya,
I recently applied for the Software Developer position at TCS through Naukri. Wanted to reach out directly since I believe my experience aligns well with the role.
Quick snapshot: B.Tech CSE from VIT Vellore, 2 years at a Bangalore startup building REST APIs with Java Spring Boot. Reduced API response time by 40% for our payment service handling 10K daily transactions.
Resume attached for reference. Happy to discuss further at your convenience.
Thanks, Rajesh Kumar +91-98XXXXXXXX linkedin.com/in/rajeshkumar
Dekho, kitna simple hai. Koi fancy language nahi, koi flattery nahi. Seedha point pe aaya, apni value batai, aur chhod diya.
Template 2: Koi Opening Nahi Hai, Par Company Mein Interest Hai#
Kabhi kabhi tumhe koi specific job posting nahi milti, lekin tum jaante ho ki company mein tumhare skill set ka kaam hota hai. Tab speculative email bhejte ho.
Kab use karo: Jab company ke career page pe tumhare liye koi opening nahi hai, par tum wahan kaam karna chahte ho.
Subject: [Your Skill] specialist, interested in opportunities at [Company]
Email:
Hi [Hiring Manager / Recruiter Name],
I know there may not be an active opening right now, but I wanted to reach out because [specific reason you are interested in this company, mention a product, recent news, or something specific].
A bit about me: [Degree] with [X years / relevant experience] in [Skill Area]. Most recently, I [one specific accomplishment]. I think this background could be useful for [Company's] work in [specific area].
If anything opens up on your team, I would love to be considered. I have attached my resume. Happy to chat anytime.
Best, [Your Name] [Phone Number] [LinkedIn URL]
Kyun kaam karta hai:
- Tumne company ke baare mein specifically research kiya hai, yeh dikhta hai
- Tum position of asking mein ho, par demanding nahi ho
- Recruiter tumhe "talent pipeline" mein daal sakta hai future openings ke liye
- Bahut kam log yeh karte hain, toh tum stand out karte ho
Real Example
Maan lo Sneha ko Razorpay mein interest hai, par uske skill set ka koi opening nahi dikh raha:
Subject: UX Researcher, interested in design opportunities at Razorpay
Hi Rahul,
I know the design team might not have an active opening right now, but I wanted to reach out because I have been impressed by Razorpay's checkout redesign. The way you simplified the payment flow for small merchants is exactly the kind of UX problem I enjoy solving.
A bit about me: M.Des from NID, 1.5 years at a fintech startup where I led user research for a UPI-based savings product. Our research-driven redesign improved user activation by 28%.
If anything opens up in the UX or research space, I would love to be considered. Resume attached. Happy to chat anytime.
Best, Sneha Sharma +91-97XXXXXXXX linkedin.com/in/snehasharma
Notice karo: Sneha ne Razorpay ke ek specific product ka naam liya (checkout redesign). Yeh dikhata hai ki usne research kiya hai, generic email nahi hai.
Template 3: Referral Ke Through Contact Kar Rahe Ho#
Referral sabse powerful channel hai hiring mein. Agar tumhe koi company mein kaam karta hai jo jaanta hai (even loosely), toh uska naam use karo.
Kab use karo: Jab tumhara koi connection (college senior, ex-colleague, friend of a friend) us company mein hai aur usne permission diya hai naam use karne ka.
Important: Hamesha pehle apne connection se permission lo. "Hey, kya main tera naam use kar sakta/sakti hoon email mein?" Bina permission ke naam use karna backfire ho sakta hai.
Subject: Referred by [Referrer Name], applying for [Role]
Email:
Hi [Recruiter Name],
[Referrer Name] from your [Team/Department] suggested I reach out. I am applying for the [Role Name] position and [he/she] felt my background would be a good fit.
Quick background: [Degree], [X years / key experience] in [Skill Area]. [One relevant achievement]. [Referrer Name] and I [briefly explain the connection, e.g., "worked together at ABC" or "went to college together"].
I have attached my resume. [Referrer Name] can speak to my work if that helps. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks, [Your Name] [Phone Number] [LinkedIn URL]
Kyun kaam karta hai:
- Referral emails ka response rate normal cold emails se 3-5x zyada hota hai
- Recruiter ko ek internal person ka naam milta hai, jo trust build karta hai
- Connection explain karne se credibility aati hai
- "Can speak to my work" line recruiter ko ek quick reference point de deti hai
Real Example
Maan lo Amit ka college senior Infosys mein hai, aur usne bola "haan, mera naam use kar le":
Subject: Referred by Vikram Patel (Infosys Mysore), applying for Systems Engineer
Hi Deepa,
Vikram Patel from the Infosys Mysore development center suggested I reach out. I am applying for the Systems Engineer position posted on your careers page, and he felt my background would be relevant.
Quick background: B.Tech IT from MNNIT Allahabad, strong in Java and SQL with an internship at a Noida startup where I built an inventory management module handling 5,000+ SKUs. Vikram and I were batchmates in college and he is familiar with my project work.
Resume attached. Vikram can vouch for my technical skills if needed. Would love to discuss the role further.
Thanks, Amit Singh +91-96XXXXXXXX linkedin.com/in/amitsingh
Common Galtiyan (Mistakes) Jo Log Karte Hain#
Galti 1: Bahut Lamba Email Likhna
Recruiter ke paas time nahi hai. 100-150 words mein baat khatam karo. Agar tumhara email scroll karna padta hai phone pe, bahut lamba hai.
Galti 2: "Dear Sir/Madam" Se Start Karna
Yeh 2026 hai, 1990 nahi. "Dear Sir/Madam" se email bhejne ka matlab hai tumne research hi nahi kiya ki email kis ko ja raha hai. Naam use karo. "Hi Priya," ya "Hello Rahul," enough hai.
Galti 3: Apni Life Story Batana
Recruiter ko tumhare 10th ke marks, family background, ya "since childhood I was interested in computers" nahi sunna. Sirf relevant professional info.
Galti 4: Desperate Sound Karna
"Please give me a chance, I really need this job" type lines mat likho. Empathy mil sakti hai, par interview nahi milega. Confidence dikhaao, desperation nahi.
Avoid these lines:
- "I am willing to work for any salary"
- "I can join immediately, I am currently unemployed"
- "I have been searching for 6 months and nobody is responding"
- "It would mean the world to me if you could help"
Yeh lines honest ho sakti hain, par professional email mein yeh weakness signal karti hain. Recruiter ko batao tum kya value la sakte ho, apni situation nahi.
Galti 5: Resume Attach Nahi Karna
Har email ke saath resume attach karo. PDF format mein. File name "Resume.pdf" nahi, "Amit_Singh_SDE_Resume.pdf" rakho. Professional dikhta hai.
Galti 6: Follow Up Mein Guilt Trip Dena
"I sent you an email 3 days ago and you did not reply" type follow up mat bhejo. Simple aur polite rakho: "Hi, just checking if you had a chance to see my earlier email. No worries if not. Thanks!"
Kab Email Bhejo? Timing Matters#
Best days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Monday ko log weekend ke emails clear kar rahe hote hain, Friday ko weekend mode mein hote hain.
Best time: Morning 9-10 AM (recruiter ke timezone mein). Email unke inbox mein top pe hoga jab wo day start karenge.
Avoid: Weekends, late nights, public holidays. Email bhejo toh, par schedule karke Monday morning ko send hone do.
Kitne Log Ko Email Karna Chahiye?#
Ek realistic target: per week 10-15 personalized cold emails. Zyada mat bhejo kyunki quality giregi. Har email mein 10-15 minutes lagane chahiye research aur customization mein.
Agar tum per week 15 emails bhejte ho, aur 10-15% response rate milta hai (which is normal for cold emails), toh tum per week 1-2 responses expect kar sakte ho. Per month 4-8 conversations. Those conversations can turn into interviews.
Yeh job portals se apply karne se better hai jahan tumhara conversion rate 1-2% hota hai.
Cold Email Likhne Mein Time Lagta Hai? AI Se Karo#
Main samajhta hoon ki har email mein 10-15 minutes lagana tedious hai. Especially jab tumhe 15 per week bhejne hain.
Yahi woh jagah hai jahan AI help karta hai. Tum job description paste karo, apna resume daal do, aur JobRise ka Cold Email tool 30 seconds mein ek personalized email generate karta hai jo:
- Company ke baare mein specific mention karti hai
- Tumhare resume se relevant achievements pull karti hai
- Professional par friendly tone maintain karti hai
- Short aur to-the-point hoti hai
Tum edit kar sakte ho, apna touch daal sakte ho, par base template 30 seconds mein ready. 15 emails ka kaam 2 hours se kam hokar 30 minutes mein ho jaata hai.
Cold email tool try karo JobRise pe. Job description paste karo, resume upload karo, aur personalized email lo seconds mein.
Summary: 3 Templates, 5 Rules, Bahut Saare Jobs#
Cold emailing scary lagta hai, par yeh actually sabse effective job search methods mein se ek hai. Portals pe 500 logon ke saath compete karne se behtar hai ki 1 recruiter ke inbox mein directly pahuncho.
3 Templates:
- Job portal se apply kiya, ab direct contact (most common)
- Koi opening nahi par company mein interest (speculative)
- Referral ke through contact (highest response rate)
5 Rules:
- Sahi insaan ko email karo (naam dhundho)
- Subject line short aur specific
- 100 words se zyada nahi
- Personalize karo
- Ek follow-up, zyada nahi
Ab bas padhte mat baitho. Ek email draft karo aur aaj hi bhej do. Pehla email sabse mushkil hota hai. Uske baad easy ho jaata hai.
