Entry-Level Finance Jobs in the UAE: How to Get Hired in 2026
You want a finance job in the UAE, but every listing you open asks for three years of experience. That is the wall most graduates hit here, and it is worth being blunt about it before you spend three months applying to roles that were never going to call you.
What the listings actually show#
As of 14 October 2026, the JobRise live feed shows 21 open finance listings in the United Arab Emirates, all in Dubai and all full-time. You can browse them yourself in our finance jobs in United Arab Emirates feed. Of those 21, exactly 0 carry an entry-level marker: no intern, graduate, junior, trainee, or similar title. Eleven were posted in the last 30 days, and 7 in the last 7 days, so the market is moving, just not toward beginners.
Compare that with the wider picture: 191 open listings across all categories in the UAE on the same date. Finance is a small slice of a crowded market, and within that slice the demand is for people who can own a process on day one.
The names hiring most in this snapshot are Fuku with 7 listings, Enclave Real Estate with 2, and single listings at White Spot Facilities Management Services LLC, AHS, PxGeo, Luxarabia Real Estate L.L.C., Swissquote, Aegis Group, DataOne, and Rightangled. Several of these are recruiters or staffing firms, which is normal in Dubai and works in your favour if you get on their books.
Titles open right now include "Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) - Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting" at White Spot Facilities Management Services LLC, "Investment Banker" at AHS, "Senior Finance Specialist - Accounting" at PxGeo, "Financial Controller" at Swissquote, and "Head of finance (CFO Track)" at Aegis Group. Nothing here is a graduate scheme. That is the reality check.

Where juniors actually get in#
Zero entry-level listings does not mean zero entry-level hiring. It means the hiring happens through channels that never show up as a "graduate" job post. Three routes work here.
Internships that convert. Many Dubai firms take interns without advertising, especially family offices, real estate investment outfits, and smaller audit practices. Send a short, specific email with your availability and a one-page CV. Do not wait for a posting.
Recruiter and staffing pipelines. Fuku, with 7 open listings in this snapshot, is clearly placing at volume. Register with them and with the other firms hiring across multiple roles. Once you are in their database, you get called for roles before they are public.
Back-office entry points. Roles like accounts payable assistant, finance admin, or audit associate are rarely titled "finance analyst", but they are how most people in this market got their first year. Look for them in the wider 191-listing pool across all categories, not only under finance.
Skills employers here expect#
The job posts in this slice are heavy on financial planning and analysis, management reporting, accounting standards, and investor-facing communication. Even the property-focused roles like "Property Investment Advisor" at Enclave Real Estate and "Investment Consultant (European)" at Luxarabia Real Estate L.L.C. want people who can model returns and explain them to a client.
For a junior, the practical list is shorter. Excel at a real level, meaning dynamic lookups, pivot tables, and building a three-statement model without a template. Basic IFRS literacy, since most reporting here sits under it. Comfort with accounting software, ideally one of the cloud platforms plus any ERP exposure you can get. And clear written English, because half of finance work in Dubai is emails to people who are not in the room.
Certifications help more here than in many markets, because they are a fast signal to a hiring manager who has 200 CVs and no time. ACCA, CFA Level 1, or CMA are the ones that get recognised. Do not start all three. Pick one that matches the work you want and pass the first exam before you apply seriously.
How to prove you can do the work#
With no job history, your proof has to come from projects. Build them, then show them. A three-statement model for a listed company in the UAE, with your own assumptions and a short write-up of why you chose them. A small dashboard comparing two years of financial statements for a company you admire. An investment memo of two pages on a stock or a property deal, written like you were pitching it.
Put these in a single PDF portfolio or a simple site, and link to it from your CV. Two strong projects beat five thin ones. Name the file properly, something like "Finance Portfolio - Your Name - 2026.pdf", because recruiters save dozens of these.
Rewriting a resume bullet with no experience#
Most fresh graduates write bullets that describe being busy. Rewrite them to describe output. Here is a before and after for the same university project.
Before: "Part of a team working on a financial analysis project for my university course."
After: "Built a three-statement forecast for a UAE-listed retailer in Excel, testing three revenue scenarios, and presented the recommended case to a four-person panel, resulting in the highest project grade in the cohort."
Same work. The second version names the deliverable, the tool, the judgement you made, and the outcome. Use the same pattern for every bullet: what you built, how you built it, what happened because of it. You can build and format these directly with our free resume builder so the layout does not fight the content.
The 7-step plan#
- Pick one target: FP&A, accounting, audit, or investment advisory. Do not apply to all four at once with the same CV.
- Pass one exam toward ACCA, CFA Level 1, or CMA before you start applying at volume. It changes how your CV is read.
- Build two portfolio projects in Excel, and write a one-page summary of each in plain language.
- Rewrite every CV bullet using the outcome pattern above, and cut anything that only lists responsibilities.
- Register with the firms placing at volume, including Fuku and the other recruiters in this snapshot, and refresh your profile every two weeks.
- Apply to adjacent roles in the wider UAE listings, accounts payable, finance admin, audit assistant, to get the first year on your CV.
- Track everything in a simple sheet: company, role, date applied, follow-up date, outcome. Follow up once, five working days after applying, then move on.
What not to waste time on#
Do not wait for a "graduate programme" listing in this slice. There are none right now. Do not send a generic CV to senior titles like "Financial Controller" at Swissquote or "Head of finance (CFO Track)" at Aegis Group; you will not be read, and you will burn the recruiter's goodwill.
Also skip anything that promises a job for a fee. Placement agencies in Dubai are paid by the employer, not by you. If someone asks you to pay for training as a condition of hiring, walk away.
Salary is worth addressing, since none of the 21 listings in this snapshot shows a figure. Reported ranges for junior finance roles in Dubai vary widely by firm type and by whether the package includes housing and transport allowances. Verify current numbers against official UAE sources and the offer letter itself, not against old forum posts.
FAQ#
Do I need a finance degree to get in?
Not always, but it helps for accounting and FP&A roles. If your degree is in something else, pass one ACCA or CFA exam and show portfolio projects, that combination gets read.
Should I apply to roles asking for two or three years of experience?
Apply if you meet most of the listed skills and can prove them with projects. Skip roles asking for five or more years, or for a specific ERP you have never touched.
Are the recruiters in the listings worth registering with?
Yes. In this snapshot, Fuku alone has 7 open listings, which suggests active placement work. Send a clean CV and be clear about the roles you will accept.
Is Arabic required for finance jobs in Dubai?
It helps in client-facing and local-firm roles, but many finance teams in Dubai operate in English. Read the listing carefully, some say "Arabic preferred" and some say "Arabic required".
How long does it usually take to land the first role?
It varies a lot. Candidates who apply to adjacent roles and register with recruiters tend to move faster than those waiting for a perfect title. Track your pipeline so you can see what is actually working.
