Remote Marketing Jobs Open to Spain Applicants (Oct 2026)

JobRise Team7 min read

You are job hunting in Spain and every "remote" marketing role you click seems to reject you after the application. The problem is rarely your CV. It is that "remote" means five different things in job listings, and most boards do not tell you which one you are looking at.

Here is what the market actually looks like right now, and what to do about it.

What is open right now#

As a snapshot on 14 October 2026, JobRise lists 15 open remote marketing jobs whose listing says applicants in Spain are accepted. Nine of those 15 were posted in the last 30 days, and 7 in the last 7 days alone. That is a small, fast-moving pool, so checking weekly beats checking monthly.

For scale: all remote Marketing roles on JobRise number 1,167, and there are 308 open listings across every category in Spain. The country picture is drawn from our Jobs in Spain feed, and the fuller breakdown sits in the JobRise Hiring Report: Spain. These are counts of open listings, not a market survey.

All 15 are full-time. Zero are intern, graduate, junior, or trainee titles. If you are early career, this particular slice is not where you will land, and pretending otherwise wastes your evenings.

Who is hiring in this slice#

Companies with the most open listings, names exactly as they appear on the listings: Mercier Consultancy (2), Huzzle (2), Devoted Studios (1), Town Web (1), GoMining (1), OnTheGoSystems (1), PriceLabs (1), Foundation (1), Carazo Enterprise SL (1), Neo Group (1). Note that some of these are recruiters or staffing firms, so the "employer" on the listing may not be the company you end up working for.

The roles themselves are senior and specialised. Examples currently open: "Senior Content Designer" at Devoted Studios, "Head of Marketing" at OnTheGoSystems, "Head of Ambassador & Partner Growth" at GoMining, "Solutions Consultant - Mid Market, LatAm" at PriceLabs, "GEO Specialist" at Foundation, "Marketing Director - Luxury FMCG" at Carazo Enterprise SL, "Country Manager (French Speaking)" at Neo Group, and "Email Designer, eCommerce Lifecycle Marketing" at UN/COMMON.

Blunt read: this is a head-of, director, and specialist market. If your last title was "Marketing Executive" with two years of generalist work, you are competing against people who have run teams.

What "remote" means in these listings#

Read the fine print before you invest an hour in the application. Remote usually falls into one of these buckets.

  • Country-restricted remote. The company hires only in specific countries, for payroll, tax, or client reasons. "Applicants in Spain accepted" is exactly this flag, and it is why these 15 matter to you.
  • Time-zone remote. They want four or five hours of overlap with their core hours. Spain sits on CET, which overlaps well with Europe and the US East Coast morning, and poorly with US West Coast afternoons.
  • Contractor remote. You invoice them, you handle your own taxes and social security, no paid holiday unless you price it in yourself.
  • Employee remote via employer of record (EOR). A third party is your legal employer in Spain, runs payroll, and withholds taxes. You get a Spanish contract and payslips.
  • Employee remote via a local entity. The company has a Spanish branch and hires you directly under a Spanish contract.

None of this is guaranteed by the word "remote" alone. Ask before the first interview, not after the offer.

Tax and contract basics#

If you are hired as an employee through an EOR or a Spanish entity, income tax and social security are withheld from your salary, like any Spanish job. If you invoice as an autónomo, you register with Hacienda and the Seguridad Social, charge IVA where it applies, file quarterly models, and pay your own cotizaciones.

Which arrangement is legal and which is cheaper depends on your situation and on the company's setup. Reported pay for remote marketing roles varies widely by seniority and by contractor versus employee status, and no listing in this slice shows a salary at all. Treat any number a recruiter quotes as a starting point, and check current rates and obligations on the official Agencia Tributaria and Seguridad Social sites before you sign.

Scam red flags#

Remote marketing is a favourite hunting ground for fake recruiters. Watch for these.

  • They contact you first, from a free email domain, and the "hiring manager" name does not match anyone at the company on LinkedIn.
  • The interview happens entirely over chat, on Telegram or WhatsApp, and never on video.
  • They ask you to buy equipment or gift cards and promise reimbursement.
  • They want a copy of your DNI, bank details, or a payment before any contract exists.
  • The pay is far above market for the title, and the job description is generic filler.
  • They offer to send you money to forward to a "vendor". That is money laundering, and you are the mule.

A real employer never charges you to start work. When in doubt, email the company's public address and ask whether the role exists.

How to stand out in remote applications#

Hiring managers for remote roles screen for three things before they read your achievements: can you work without supervision, can you write clearly in async channels, and can you cover their hours. Put evidence of all three high up.

A worked example. This bullet is common and weak:

  • Responsible for content strategy and worked with the design team.

Rewritten for a remote application:

  • Owned the content roadmap for 4 product lines, ran weekly async reviews in Notion with a 6-person design team across 3 time zones, and shipped 40 pages in 2025 that lifted organic signups by 28%.

Same job, different signal. Numbers, tools, time zones, and a result.

Before you send anything, run your CV through our free ATS resume checker. Remote roles get flooded, and most are filtered by software before a human sees them.

A 7-step plan#

  1. Shortlist the 15 current listings and note which are recruiter-run versus direct employer. Recruiters can place you in roles that are not advertised.
  2. For each one, write down the contract type you suspect, then confirm it in the first call. Ask directly: "Is this an employee contract, an EOR arrangement, or an autónomo invoice setup?"
  3. Rewrite the top third of your CV to show autonomy, async writing, and time-zone overlap. Lead with a two-line summary that names your seniority and your working hours in CET.
  4. Tailor one bullet per application to the exact outcome in the job description. Ten generic applications lose to four sharp ones.
  5. Prepare a two-minute answer on how you work remotely. Mention your setup, your overlap hours, and one time you unblocked a project without a meeting.
  6. Track everything in a spreadsheet: company, role, contract type, date applied, contact, follow-up date. Follow up once, five working days after applying.
  7. Apply weekly. With 7 new listings in the last 7 days in this slice, waiting a month means starting over on a different pool.

FAQ#

Are these 15 remote marketing roles open to anyone in Europe?

No. They are the ones whose listing says applicants in Spain are accepted, which is a narrower filter than "open in Europe". Check each listing for the country clause before applying.

Do any of these roles list a salary?

None of the 15 listings in this snapshot shows a salary. Ask for the range early, and be ready for contractor rates to be quoted differently from employee gross salary.

Is it better to apply as an autónomo or through an employer of record?

It depends on the pay level, your deductions, and how long you expect the contract to last. Compare the net figures with a gestoría before you decide, because the headline rate is misleading.

I am junior. Are there any entry-level remote marketing jobs in this data?

Zero of the 15 are intern, graduate, junior, or trainee titles. Look at the wider remote marketing feed or at hybrid roles in Spain for entry-level routes.

Should I trust a recruiter who messages me about a remote role?

Recruiters are common in this slice, and Mercier Consultancy and Huzzle both appear as listing owners. Verify they are real, never pay anything, and confirm the end client before sharing documents.
