Sales Jobs in India: Who's Hiring Right Now (Oct 2026)

JobRise Team7 min read

You want a sales job in India and you want to know who is actually hiring this week, not a vague read on the market. Here is a dated snapshot from JobRise, plus what to do about it in the next seven days.

What the feed shows right now#

As of 14 October 2026, the JobRise live jobs feed shows 234 open sales jobs in India. Of those, 73 were posted in the last 30 days and 36 in the last 7 days.

These are counts of open listings on one feed, not a market survey. Treat them as a snapshot of who is hiring today, and treat anything older than 30 days as cold.

The country context matters too. Across all categories, JobRise shows 1,867 open listings in India, with 1,345 posted in the last 30 days, and the JobRise Hiring Report: India tracks those country-wide numbers.

Who is hiring#

Rentokil Initial dominates this slice with 145 open listings. Most look like field roles in smaller cities and towns, which tells you where the real volume is.

Red Bull has 10 open listings, including "Area On Premise Manager", "Territory Sales Manager", and "On Premise Festival & Events Manager". These are on-premise and events roles, so expect nightlife, hospitality, and late hours.

Bosch Group also has 10 open listings. Two examples: "Portfolio & Sales Interface - Deputy Manager" and "IN_RBIN_Area Sales Manager_jamshedpur (Power Tools)". The second one is a city-tagged role, which is common in industrial and tools sales.

Datadog has 9 open listings, and its "Enterprise Customer Success Manager" shows the tech side of the market. Mongodb also has 9, and Okta has 5. Enterprise software companies are hiring customer-facing people.

Stranger Soccer has 7 open listings, and Apna has 7. Lokal App has 2. Elastic has 3.

These are startups and app-first companies. Smaller counts. Faster processes.

A few other names show up in the example roles even if they are not in the top list. WATI.io is hiring an "Account Executive", and ProArch is hiring a "Director - Inside Sales & Business Development".

Where the jobs are#

Bengaluru leads with 47 open listings. Mumbai has 14, Gurugram has 12, Kolkata has 12, and Pune has 10.

Bengaluru is the clear hub, mostly because of the tech and software companies, but do not ignore the smaller city roles, since Rentokil Initial's listings are spread across Siliguri, Thrissur, Sriperumbadur, and Kolkata.

Field roles in tier-2 cities often get fewer applicants. That's the edge.

What the job-type mix says#

Every single listing in this slice is full-time: 234 out of 234. No part-time, no contract, no internships showing up right now.

That is a strong signal, because companies hiring sales staff in India right now want permanent headcount rather than gig or project work, so plan your search around full-time roles and skip the freelance angle. Plan accordingly.

The market breaks into four groups. Big tech and enterprise software: Datadog, Mongodb, Okta, Elastic. Industrial and FMCG: Bosch Group, Red Bull, Rentokil Initial. Startups and apps: Stranger Soccer, Apna, Lokal App, WATI.io. And professional services: ProArch.

Pick one lane. Not all four.

Entry-level is thin#

Only 5 of 234 listings look entry-level, based on titles like intern, graduate, junior, or trainee. That is a small slice.

The examples are all field sales roles at Rentokil Initial: "Jr. Product Sales Executive - North Kolkata", "Field Product Sales Executive - Siliguri | Min Exp 2yrs I Any Graduate", "Field Sales Executive | Thrissur | Any Graduate", and two near-duplicate listings in Sriperumbadur and Sriperumbudur.

Notice the "Min Exp 2yrs" tag. Even the entry-looking listings want some experience, so if you are a fresh graduate, field sales at a company like Rentokil Initial is your most realistic entry point into the market. Apply anyway.

No salary data#

No listing in this slice shows a salary. Normal for Indian sales roles.

If you want a rough anchor, field sales executive roles in India are commonly reported in the range of ₹2.5 to ₹5 lakh per year with variable pay on top, and territory or area manager roles are often reported around ₹6 to ₹12 lakh, though these ranges vary a lot by city, industry, and company size. Verify current numbers on official sources before you negotiate.

How to apply this week#

Apply direct when you can. Go to the company's own careers page and apply there, not just through a job board, because recruiters and staffing firms show up in these listings too, and direct applications give you more control over follow-up. Worth the extra ten minutes.

Mirror the listing's keywords in your resume. If the role says "Territory Sales Manager", use that exact phrase. If it says "On Premise", write "on premise" in your summary. ATS systems match on wording.

Before you send anything, run your resume through a free ATS resume checker to catch formatting and keyword gaps.

  • Pick 5 target companies from the list above and open their careers pages today
  • Rewrite your resume headline to match the exact job title you want
  • Add city names you are open to, since many roles are city-tagged
  • Note the last 7 days' 36 listings and apply to fresh ones first
  • Save the JobRise sales feed and check it every morning
  • Prepare one short pitch for field sales and one for enterprise sales
  • Track every application in a simple sheet with date, company, and role

The 7-step plan#

Step 1: Choose your lane. Field sales, enterprise software sales, or events and on-premise sales. The companies above hire for all three, but the resumes are different.

Step 2: Build a target list of 10 companies. Use the names in this snapshot and add others you know are hiring in your city.

Step 3: Rewrite your resume for one lane. Put the job title you want in your headline and mirror the language from real listings.

Step 4: Apply to the newest listings first. The 36 posted in the last 7 days are where competition is still soft.

Step 5: Apply direct and through the feed. Do both. Some companies only respond to direct applications.

Step 6: Follow up once after 5 days. A short, polite message to the recruiter or hiring manager is enough.

Step 7: Prepare for the field. If you are going for field roles, be ready to talk about territory, targets, and travel. For enterprise roles, be ready for a discovery call exercise.
