What a cover letter must prove first in Seattle

Recruiters scan for role fit, recent proof, and keywords. For Data Scientist, your resume should show the tools you used, the data you worked with, the question or pipeline you owned, and the result. A vague analysis line does not help. A specific line with data volume, accuracy, time saved, revenue, cost, or decisions it changed works much better.

Check this before sending another application.

  • Fit
  • Put the exact job title and adjacent titles in your summary.
  • Mirror the top skills from the job description naturally.
  • Use 3 to 5 achievement bullets that show measurable outcomes.
  • Keep formatting simple so ATS software can parse every section.
