Data & AI Salary and Job Market in the UAE 2026

JobRise Team7 min read

The recruiter wants a number by Thursday and you've got no band, no benchmark, and three job sites quoting ranges that look copied from London.

On 14 October 2026 the JobRise live jobs feed carried 11 open Data & AI jobs in United Arab Emirates, which is a small pool but it moves fast because six of those went up in the last 30 days and five in the last 7 days alone.

Same feed, same date, 191 open listings across all categories in the UAE. Data and AI is roughly one in seventeen of the whole market. Not a flood.

The roles skew senior though, and that changes how you negotiate.

Who's hiring, and what they want#

BlackStone eIT leads the slice with 3 listings. Brainlake Advertising LLC has 2. Then one each from Deeplight, Mondia Group, Huda Beauty, Scaleai, Delivery Hero, and webook.com.

Read those names twice. BlackStone eIT and Mondia Group look like recruiters or staffing firms, so the real employer probably sits behind them and you should ask early because it affects your visa sponsor, your notice period, and who actually signs your end-of-service settlement.

The titles give away the seniority: "AI Solutions Architect" and "Data Engineer" at Brainlake Advertising LLC, "Data Modeler" at Deeplight, "Agentic AI Agent" at Mondia Group, "Data Analytics Manager - Media and Digital Performance" at Huda Beauty, "Product Manager of AI Applications, Global Public Sector" at Scaleai, "Manager Data Scientist - AI" at Delivery Hero, and "Advertising Data & Insights Manager" at webook.com.

Zero of the 11 look entry-level. No intern, graduate, junior, or trainee titles in the snapshot. If you're early career, plan on building proof somewhere else first.

Geography is nearly all Dubai: 10 of 11 listings. One shows Doha, which is odd in a UAE slice and probably a location-tagging slip on the listing. Treat Dubai as the market.

Why nobody posts pay here#

Not one of the 11 listings shows a salary. That's normal for the Gulf, and employers keep the number private so they can flex it against your current package and your visa situation.

So the listing won't save you. Build your own range from three places: what peers in Dubai tell you, what recruiters quote during screening, and what the offer actually contains once you see the full breakdown.

Typical reported ranges, hedged#

These are not market data. They're the ranges candidates and recruiters in the UAE commonly report for full-time Data and AI work, and they swing hard by industry, company size, and whether the role sits in a multinational or a local group. Verify against current sources before you quote any of them.

Per month, in AED, full-time:

  • Data Analyst or BI Analyst: AED 12,000 to 20,000 per month
  • Data Engineer: AED 20,000 to 35,000 per month
  • Data Scientist: AED 22,000 to 38,000 per month
  • Senior or Lead Data Scientist / Manager Data Scientist: AED 35,000 to 55,000 per month
  • Data Architect or AI Solutions Architect: AED 40,000 to 65,000 per month
  • Analytics Manager or Head of Data: AED 35,000 to 60,000 per month

Per year, the same roles often quote as AED 240,000 to 780,000 per year once you fold in housing and transport allowances. Some multinationals pay a straight basic with no allowances, so a "lower" monthly number can beat a bigger one once you count what actually lands in the bank.

Treat these as conversation starters. If a recruiter anchors you at the top of a band, ask what's inside it, because basic salary, housing, transport, and variable pay behave very differently when you compare two offers side by side.

How pay actually works in the UAE#

Offers here are usually quoted as a monthly basic plus monthly allowances, or as a single monthly CTC figure. Get the split in writing. It changes your end-of-service benefit and what a future employer will match.

Bonus is often discretionary and stated as a target percentage, not a promise. Some firms pay a 13th-month equivalent, many don't. Equity shows up in multinationals and in global roles like the Scaleai listing, and it's usually RSUs vesting over three to four years.

There's no UAE superannuation scheme like Australia's, so your retirement saving is your own problem and that's exactly why the end-of-service gratuity matters. Check the current official rule on the UAE government portal before you model it.

Income tax on salary is not something I can give you a number for here. Verify the current position with the official UAE tax authority rather than trusting any blog, including this one.

The negotiation script#

Get the offer in writing first. Never negotiate on a phone call where you can't see the breakdown.

Here's the exact script I'd use once the written offer lands:

"Thanks, I'm excited about the role. Looking at the full package, I was targeting AED 38,000 per month base given my experience shipping agentic systems and the scope you described. Can we close the gap on base, or look at the housing allowance line instead?"

Two things happen in that paragraph. You named a specific number with a reason attached, and you handed them a second lever to pull when base is locked.

If they push back on base, ask for a signing amount, a six-month review in writing, or a higher housing allowance. Those are easier for a hiring manager to approve than a bigger basic.

What to check before you sign#

  • Ask whether the role is direct hire or through a staffing firm like BlackStone eIT or Mondia Group
  • Get the monthly breakdown: basic, housing, transport, and any other allowance
  • Ask for the bonus target percentage and whether it's been paid out in the last two years
  • Confirm the visa sponsor and who covers relocation and family sponsorship
  • Check the probation length and notice period on both sides
  • Ask what happens to end-of-service if you leave at two years
  • Get any equity or RSU grant in writing, with the vesting schedule
  • Confirm the working week, remote policy, and whether Friday is a full day off

One more thing people skip. Ask the hiring manager what "good" looks like at six months, because their answer tells you more about the real job than the job description ever will.

FAQ#

What is a realistic Data & AI salary in the UAE in 2026?

Commonly reported ranges run from about AED 12,000 to 20,000 per month for analyst work up to AED 40,000 to 65,000 per month for architect roles. Those swing by industry and company type, so verify against current sources and real offers before you anchor.

Do UAE Data & AI job listings show salary?

Rarely. On 14 October 2026, none of the 11 open Data & AI listings on JobRise showed a salary. You'll need to ask recruiters directly and build your own range from what peers report.

Is Dubai the main market for Data & AI work in the UAE?

In this snapshot, yes. Ten of the 11 open listings were tagged Dubai. If you're targeting Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, expect fewer roles and more government or energy-sector work.

Should I negotiate if the offer already looks good?

Yes. Base salary sets your end-of-service benefit and what your next employer will match. Even a small monthly increase compounds over a two or three year stint.

What's the difference between CTC and basic salary in a UAE offer?

CTC is the full cost of employing you, usually quoted monthly. Basic is one line inside it, and it's the number your gratuity and overtime base are usually calculated from. Get both in writing.
