Sales Salary and Job Market in Brazil 2026

JobRise Team8 min read

You want a sales role in Brazil and you need to know what it pays before you waste weeks on the wrong process. The honest answer is that almost nobody is telling you. Employers post the job and skip the number.

What the data actually shows#

As of 14 October 2026, the Sales jobs in Brazil feed on JobRise listed 17 open sales roles. Thirteen of those were posted in the last 30 days, and 6 in the last 7 days. Movement is real.

Across every category in Brazil there were 81 open listings on the same date. Sales is a meaningful slice of that. Treat all of these as counts of live listings on one site, not as a market survey.

The companies with the most open sales listings were Red Bull (7), Bosch Group (4), and Rentokil Initial (3). Pattern, Elevenlabs, and Monks each had 1. Some of these names are recruiters or staffing firms, so the real employer may differ from the name on the listing.

Cities concentrate where you would expect. São Paulo had 3 listings, Belo Horizonte 2, Campinas 2, Curitiba 2, and Porto Alegre 1. Most roles were full-time (14), with 3 contract.

The salary disclosure problem#

Zero of the 17 listings showed a salary. Not one. That is the single most useful fact in this entire dataset, because it tells you what kind of market you are walking into.

When pay is hidden, employers anchor the conversation to your current salary instead of the role's value. Your job is to break that habit early. Ask for the range before the first interview ends.

Typical reported ranges by seniority#

No listing in this slice gives a figure, so the ranges below come from what candidates and recruiters commonly report for full-time sales roles in Brazil. They vary by city, industry, and company size. Verify anything you are told against current sources before you accept an offer.

Junior and support roles, such as "Customer Success Junior" at Pattern or "Consultor Comercial Jr" at Rentokil Initial, are commonly reported around R$2,500 to R$4,500 per month base, plus variable. The variable portion is often small at this level.

Mid-level account executives and consultants typically land around R$6,000 to R$11,000 per month base, with variable pay that can add 20% to 50% on top if you hit target. Roles like the "ENGENHEIRO DE VENDAS SR - Foco Mineração / Região MG" at Bosch Group sit in this band or above, because mining accounts are large and technical.

Senior and strategic roles, such as "Strategic Account Executive - Brazil" at Elevenlabs or "SALES MANAGER (Brazil, China) (34692) - FLUENTE EM MANDARIM" at Bosch Group, are commonly reported from R$12,000 to R$22,000 per month base. Bilingual roles that require Mandarin carry a premium, since the talent pool is thin. Management roles can go higher.

These are not promises. They are directional. Treat them as a starting point for your own research.

How Brazilian pay packages are built#

Base salary is only part of the number. In Brazil, the monthly figure you are quoted usually excludes several things that show up on top.

The 13th salary (décimo terceiro) is a mandatory extra month of pay, typically paid in two instalments, one in November and one in December. When you compare an offer to a monthly range above, add roughly one twelfth more to see the real annual base.

Vacation pay includes a one third bonus (abono constitucional de férias) on top of your holiday pay. Commissions in sales roles are usually paid monthly or quarterly against a quota, and the plan terms matter more than the headline OTE. Ask how many reps hit quota in the last two cycles.

Benefits are where offers diverge widely. Typical items are vale-refeição or vale-alimentação, health and dental insurance, and a company car or fuel allowance for field roles like the Red Bull "Mosqueteiro (Consultor/a On Trade)" position. Some multinationals add profit sharing (PLR) and stock or equity, especially in tech.

On equity and superannuation: there is no Brazilian equivalent of a mandatory employer pension contribution beyond FGTS, which is a government severance fund. Private pension plans (PGBL or VGBL) are optional and sometimes offered as a benefit. Equity grants from foreign parent companies exist but are rare outside tech and senior roles. Ask what the vesting schedule is and what happens if you leave.

Negotiating the offer#

Get the range in writing before you discuss your own expectations. A clean script:

"Antes de falarmos de expectativa salarial, qual é a faixa prevista para essa posição? Prefiro alinhar desde o começo."

Then separate base from variable. Ask these in the same call:

  • Qual é o percentual fixo e o variável no pacote total?

When you name a number, name a range with your floor at the bottom. Say it as a monthly base, so there is no ambiguity about what is fixed. If the offer comes in low, respond with the market, not with feelings: "Pelo que pesquisei, posições com esse escopo no mercado estão na faixa de X a Y por mês. Conseguimos chegar mais próximo disso?"

Never accept on the spot. Ask for the offer in writing, with the commission plan attached. Read the plan before you say yes.

A worked example#

A weak resume bullet: "Responsible for sales in the mining sector in Minas Gerais."

A stronger one: "Managed 12 mining accounts in Minas Gerais, growing regional revenue 28% in 18 months and closing the largest single contract in the territory."

Same job. The second gives a recruiter something to defend in a salary committee. Numbers in your resume become numbers in your offer.

Quick checklist before you apply#

  • Check the current JobRise feed weekly, since 6 of the 17 listings went up in the last 7 days alone
  • Filter by city, since São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, and Campinas hold most of the volume
  • Read the language requirements twice: several Bosch Group roles require fluent Mandarin
  • Note whether the listing is from a recruiter or the end employer
  • Prepare your salary range in monthly base terms before the first call
  • Ask for the commission plan in writing before you resign anywhere

FAQ#

What is a realistic sales salary in Brazil in 2026?

For a full-time role, commonly reported ranges run from about R$2,500 to R$4,500 per month for junior positions, R$6,000 to R$11,000 for mid-level, and R$12,000 to R$22,000 for senior or strategic roles, all base only. These vary by city and industry and are not drawn from the JobRise listings, since none of the 17 showed pay. Verify against current sources.

Why do so few Brazilian job listings show a salary?

Because disclosure is not yet the norm for most private-sector postings, and employers prefer to negotiate against your current pay. Push back by asking for the range early in the process. Companies serious about closing a candidate will give you a band.

What is the 13th salary and does it change my negotiation?

The 13th salary (décimo terceiro) is an extra month of pay required by law, usually split across November and December. When you compare a monthly offer to market ranges, mentally add roughly one twelfth to see the annual figure. Negotiate on the monthly base plus the commission plan.

Should I negotiate in Portuguese or English?

Match the interview language. For local roles at Red Bull, Bosch Group, or Rentokil Initial, Portuguese is normal. For roles like "Strategic Account Executive - Brazil" at Elevenlabs, English may be the working language, so negotiate in whichever one the hiring manager used with you.

How do I find current sales openings in Brazil?

Check the JobRise sales feed directly and refresh it often, since 13 of the 17 open listings on 14 October 2026 were less than 30 days old. Set alerts for your city and target companies. Applying early in the posting cycle matters more than most candidates realize.
