Guess first, no penalty. AI summarizes a contract: "Either party may terminate with 30 days' notice." The clause says only the client may terminate for convenience; the supplier may terminate only for non-payment. What went wrong?
A clause is one numbered section of a contract. AI contract summaries go wrong quietly: they swap who holds a right, drop a condition, merge two clauses into one, or shift a date. Each sentence still reads well.
So hold every summary sentence to one rule: it must point to the clause it comes from. If you can't point to a clause, the sentence goes.

The contract: 2.1 term is two years from 1 March. 9.2 only the client may terminate for convenience, on 30 days' notice; the supplier only for non-payment. 5.4 fees may rise 3% a year, on 60 days' written notice. Tap the two sentences the clauses don't support.
