Draft a one-page PRD with AI

Módulo 1: What AI already does in your job

Teste rápido

Guess first, no penalty. You give AI your problem section and ask it to draft the rest of a PRD. Which part do you have to supply yourself?

A PRD (product requirements document) says what to build and why, so designers, engineers and leaders agree before work starts. One page is enough for most features.

A one-page PRD has five parts:

  • Problem: who has it, with a quote (from the last lesson).
  • Who it's for: the users, and who it's not for.
  • Goal and measure: what changes if it works, and the number you'll watch.
  • Non-goals: what this won't do, so the scope stays small.
  • Open questions: what you still need to find out.

AI drafts all five fast. Its weak spot is the goal: it fills it with confident numbers ("increase engagement by 30%") nobody chose. So you give it the measure, and you ask it to mark every assumption.

Worked example

A prompt (the message you send the AI):

Here is my problem section, with quotes from 5 interviews.
Draft the rest of a one-page PRD: who it's for, non-goals and open questions.

Goal: night-shift nurses read charts without squinting.
Measure: support tickets about screen brightness, per month.
Don't invent other numbers. Mark every assumption with [assumption].

You set the goal and the measure. The AI fills in the structure around them and shows you where it guessed.
