How to Describe Internships on Resume: 30 Examples

The Rules

1. Start every bullet with an action verb. Built, Developed, Managed, Analyzed, Designed, Created, Implemented.
2. Be specific. "Wrote code" is vague. "Developed 5 REST API endpoints using Node.js and Express" is specific.
3. Include numbers. Users, data points, percentage improvements, team size, anything measurable.
4. Match keywords to your target job. If you're applying for a frontend role, highlight your frontend work during the internship.
5. Keep it to 3-4 bullets. More than 4 is too much for an internship.
