Where AI gets product work wrong
Module 1: What AI already does in your job
Course outline
Guess first, no penalty. An AI-drafted PRD says "68% of users want this feature." Nobody ran a survey. What is that number?
AI writes product documents that sound finished. A confident line gets copied into a slide, and three weeks later it's a "fact".
Four errors show up again and again:
- Invented numbers: percentages and market sizes with no source.
- Invented competitor facts: a rival's "new feature" that doesn't exist.
- Goals you can't measure: "users will love it".
- Missing limits: no non-goals, so the scope keeps growing.
Worked example
One line from an AI-drafted PRD, before and after your check.
The fix keeps what's true, names the source and turns the guess into a question. Now you try.
Tap the three lines you'd fix before sharing. Tap a line that's fine and you get a hint.

Your AI summary says a competitor "just launched AI search". Your VP wants it on tomorrow's slide. What do you do?
Which goal can a team actually check after launch?
The AI writes "this will reduce churn". You don't know if it will. What's the best edit?
