Check every fact against the source

Module 1: What AI already does in writing

Course outline

Quick check

Guess first, no penalty. Your source said: "We might expand to Spain next year, if funding comes through." The AI summary says: "The company is expanding to Spain next year." What's wrong?

AI summaries are fast, and they can quietly change what someone said. A hedge becomes a promise, an opinion becomes a fact, a number moves. If your source reads it, they've been quoted saying something they never said.

Spot the changes

The interview notes say: "We might expand to Spain next year, if funding comes through. We have 40 staff now. Our CEO, Ana Ruiz, started the company in 2019."

Spot the mistakes

Tap the two summary lines that don't match the notes. Tap a line that's fine and you get a hint.

A prompt that lists, not rewrites

Here is my draft: [paste]. Here is my source, the transcript or notes: [paste].
List every fact, quote, name, date and number in the draft.
Mark each one: supported by the source, not in the source, or changed.
Don't rewrite anything. Just list.

Fill the gaps
