Sales Jobs in Germany: Who's Hiring Right Now (Oct 2026)

JobRise Team8 min read

You are hunting for a sales role in Germany and you want to know who is actually hiring, not who was hiring six months ago. Here is the picture from the JobRise live jobs feed, snapshot dated 14 October 2026. Treat these numbers as a count of open listings on one job board at one moment, not as a market survey.

The snapshot: 240 open sales listings#

Our sales jobs in Germany hub shows 240 open listings as of 14 October 2026. Of those, 211 were posted in the last 30 days, and 188 landed in the last 7 days alone.

That last number matters. Most of the market is moving right now. If a listing is more than a month old, its urgency is lower, and your odds of a reply drop.

For wider context, the JobRise Hiring Report for Germany counts 1,846 open listings across all categories, with 1,642 posted in the last 30 days. Sales is a meaningful slice of that, roughly one listing in eight.

Who is hiring right now#

Ten companies hold the most open sales listings in this snapshot. Some are employers, some are recruiters or staffing firms placing for clients. Names are exactly as they appear on the listings.

  • Anthropic: 9 open listings
  • Bosch Group: 8
  • Mongodb: 8
  • Figma: 7
  • Treatwell: 6
  • Red Bull: 6
  • Salonkee: 6
  • N8N: 5
  • Stranger Soccer: 5
  • Mercier Consultancy: 5

Look at the spread. AI, database software, design tooling, consumer brands, SaaS for salons, workflow automation, a sports startup, and a consultancy. No single industry owns the market.

What the roles look like#

A few concrete examples from the open listings show the range.

  • "Sales Assistant / Weihnachtsaushilfe (w/m/d)" at Guess Europe Sagl, seasonal retail support
  • "Customer Sales (m/w/d) am Flughafen" at SMS Spedition Management Service GmbH, airport-based sales
  • "Head of Sales (w/m/d)" at WTE Charkos GmbH, a leadership seat
  • "Agency Development Director, DACH" at Taboola, partner and agency work
  • "Senior Mid-Market Account Executive" at Avepoint, classic closing role
  • "Enterprise Account Executive" at Elastic, top-of-market deals
  • "(Senior) Programmatic Sales GSA" at Zattoo, adtech and media
  • "Sales Manager Air & Sea / Luft- und Seefracht (m/w/d)" at Friedrich Zufall GmbH & Co. KG, logistics

German-language titles are common, especially in Mittelstand and logistics. English-only titles cluster in tech. Prepare for both.

Where the jobs are#

  • Berlin: 65 listings
  • Munich: 52
  • Frankfurt: 16
  • Hamburg: 13
  • Stuttgart: 7

Berlin and Munich hold 117 of 240 listings, close to half. Frankfurt leans finance and logistics, Hamburg leans trade and media, Stuttgart leans industrial and automotive supply chains.

Remote is not the norm in this data. Most listings name a city. Filter by city before you apply, and be ready to state your work authorisation and notice period early.

The job-type mix#

Full-time is 238 of 240 listings. Part-time is 1. Contract is 1.

Read that as a market that wants permanent, full-time sellers. If you need part-time or a short contract, your search will be slow and you should widen the role types you consider, for example into project-based or freelance arrangements outside these listings.

What the mix says about the market#

Four groups show up clearly.

Big tech and enterprise software dominate the top of the list: Anthropic, Mongodb, Figma, Elastic, Avepoint, Taboola, Cohere. These roles pay well and screen hard on pipeline discipline and forecast accuracy.

Startups and scale-ups are present and hungry: N8N, Salonkee, Stranger Soccer, Treatwell, Workmotion, fleetster. Titles are broader, and you will own more of the funnel.

Agencies and staffing firms, such as Mercier Consultancy, act as a route into employers that do not post directly. Registering with two or three of them is time well spent.

The public sector shows up too, in listings like "Senior Account Executive, Germany PUBSEC (Berlin, Germany)" and "Head of Sales EMEA, Public Sector" at Cohere. Public-sector sales in Germany rewards patience, procurement knowledge, and security clearance readiness.

What about pay#

Only 3 of 240 listings show a salary. That is the real state of play: German sales listings mostly stay silent on pay until the first call.

The three posted numbers, quoted as written:

  • "VP Sales, EMEA" at Cohere: $500K, $700K
  • "Senior Account Executive, Germany PUBSEC (Berlin, Germany)" at Cohere: €250K, €280K
  • "Head of Sales EMEA, Public Sector" at Cohere: $0

The $0 line is almost certainly a placeholder, not an offer. Treat it as missing data. For the other two, note the mix of USD and EUR, which usually means global pay bands set outside Germany. Base plus variable splits vary widely, and you should verify the current official figures for tax, social contributions, and any bonus structure before you accept.

Entry-level is thin#

Six of 240 listings look entry-level by title: intern, graduate, junior, trainee. Examples:

  • "Junior Account Executive DACH (German-speaking)" at Workmotion
  • "Junior New Business Manager (Neukundengewinnung)" at medialabel GmbH
  • "(Junior) Business Development Manager (m/w/d)" at tecRacer Germany GmbH
  • "Junior Customer Success Manager (w/m/d) | München" at fleetster
  • "Sales & Business Development Manager (2026/27 Graduate)" at Netlight
  • "Junior Sales Manager (w/m/div.) (befristet für 24 Monate)" at Bosch Group

Six out of 240 is a small door. Graduates should widen the net to "Account Executive", "Business Development", and "Customer Success" titles without the word junior, and should be ready to show any quota-carrying experience, even from side jobs or university projects.

How to apply this week#

Apply direct when you can. A careers page beats a job board redirect, because your CV lands closer to the hiring manager and you skip one round of screening.

Mirror the listing keywords. If the ad says "Neukundengewinnung", use that word in your CV. If it says "mid-market", say "mid-market". Recruiters and applicant tracking systems both scan for the phrasing in the ad.

Before you send anything, run your CV through our free ATS checker to catch formatting and keyword gaps. It is quick and it catches the mistakes that get CVs silently filtered out.

Here is a rewritten bullet that works for the German market. Weak version: "Responsible for sales in the DACH region." Strong version: "Grew DACH mid-market new business from 0 to 38 accounts in 14 months, closing €1.2M ARR with a 31% win rate on outbound pipeline." Numbers, region, segment, method. That is what a sales CV should show.

Your 7-step plan#

  • List the top 10 companies from this snapshot and check each careers page today. Anthropic, Bosch Group, Mongodb, Figma, and Treatwell are the obvious first stops.
  • Pick your two cities. Berlin and Munich hold 117 of the 240 listings, so starting there shortens the search.
  • Rewrite your CV in the language of the target ad. German titles get German phrasing, English titles get English phrasing.
  • Run your CV through the free ATS checker and fix what it flags before the first application.
  • Register with two staffing or recruiting firms, such as Mercier Consultancy, since they open doors that are not listed publicly.
  • Track everything in a simple sheet: company, role, date applied, contact name, follow-up date. Follow up once after 7 days, politely.
  • Prepare three quantified stories about pipeline, forecast, and closing. Expect them in the first interview, in German or English.

FAQ#

How current are these numbers

They are a snapshot of the JobRise live jobs feed dated 14 October 2026. Open listings move daily, so re-check the sales jobs in Germany hub before you plan your week around any single count.

Why do only 3 listings show salary

German employers often keep pay private until the interview stage. When a salary is shown, quote it as posted and verify the current official figures for tax, social contributions, and bonus structure before you make decisions.

Are these all direct employer listings

No. Some of the companies with the most listings, such as Mercier Consultancy, are recruiters or staffing firms placing for clients. Read each listing carefully to see who the end employer is.

Is entry-level sales realistic in Germany right now

Only 6 of 240 listings look entry-level by title in this snapshot. Widen your search to Business Development, Customer Success, and unqualified Account Executive titles, and show any quota-carrying experience you have.

Should I apply through a job board or the company site

Apply direct on the company careers page when you can. Then mirror the listing's exact keywords in your CV so both the recruiter and the applicant tracking system see a match.
