What AI does in operations today

Module 1: What AI already does in your job

Course outline

Quick check

Guess first, no penalty. Which operations task is safe to hand to AI first?

AI tools in operations make plans, drafts and flags. They suggest next week's demand, build delivery routes, propose shift plans, flag late shipments, pull data from shipping papers and draft customer and supplier emails.

What they can't see is the ground: the promotion in week 3, the gate that closes at four, the driver who's new, the supplier who always pads dates. A plan is a starting point. You check it against what's really happening, and you sign for the result.

Sort it

Can AI draft it, or does it need you?
