Operations Jobs in India: Who's Hiring Right Now (Oct 2026)
You want an operations job in India and you need to know who is actually hiring, not who was hiring six months ago. Here is the current picture, straight from listings.
The snapshot, and what it is#
As of 14 October 2026, the operations jobs hub on JobRise shows 235 open listings in India. Of those, 96 were posted in the last 30 days, and 60 went up in just the last 7 days.
Treat this as a dated snapshot of live listings, not a market survey. Numbers move daily, and one large employer can shift the totals on its own.
For wider context, the JobRise Hiring Report for India counts 1,867 open listings across all categories, with 1,345 posted in the last 30 days. So operations is a real slice of the market, but it is not the whole market.

Who is hiring right now#
Rentokil Initial has the largest block by far, with 134 open listings. When one name holds that many roles, expect facility services, hygiene, and site operations work, and expect volume hiring where a strong, clear CV matters more than a clever one.
Bosch Group follows with 17 listings. The titles tell you what they want: "LOG - Physical Logistics (Warehousing / Transportations / Logistic Quality / Logistic Cost)", "SAP Project Manager (S/4 HANA Transformation)", and "Asst Manager / Deputy Manager - Traded Goods Buyer". That is logistics, systems transformation, and procurement under one roof.
Stripe has 15 listings. Global fintech hiring in India usually means payments operations, risk ops, and merchant support, so read each posting closely before assuming the scope.
Exponent Energy has 6 listings, all in the EV space: "Lead - Vehicle Service- HV", "Storekeeper - Spare Parts Warehouse", "Manager - Spare Parts Warehouse", and "Service Head (EV 3-Wheeler)". If you have worked in automotive aftersales, spare parts, or high-voltage service, this is a direct match.
Mongodb also has 6 listings, Okta and Airbnb have 4 each, and Evidence Action has 3. Datamark, Inc. has 3 as well.
One more name worth a look: Anglo-Eastern Ship Management is hiring a "Marine Personnel Assistant (Temp Staff)". Shipping and crewing operations hire steadily, and the title is specific enough that your cover letter should be too.
Where the jobs are#
Bengaluru leads with 57 listings. Mumbai has 26, Gurugram 11, Kolkata 8, and Ahmedabad 6.
That distribution is fairly typical. Bengaluru holds the tech and startup operations roles, Mumbai covers corporate, financial, and industrial operations, and Gurugram pulls in shared services and global capability centre work.
If you are outside these five cities, say clearly in your application that you can relocate, and give a realistic timeline. Recruiters drop candidates who look uncertain about location.
What the job-type mix tells you#
Full-time roles account for 233 of the 235 listings. Contract roles account for just 2.
Read that two ways. Employers want permanent headcount in operations, which is a good sign for job security. But it also means most hiring managers will expect depth: they want someone who can own a process, not just fill a seat for three months.
The market here spans several employer types. Big tech names like Stripe, Okta, Airbnb, and Mongodb are hiring. Startups such as Exponent Energy and Stranger Soccer (7 listings) are building operations teams. Industrial and services firms like Bosch Group and Rentokil Initial run large operational workforces. Evidence Action sits in the development sector, and agencies or staffing firms appear in the list too, including Datamark, Inc.
Each type hires differently. Big tech screens for process thinking and tool fluency. Startups want people who will fix problems without being asked. Industrial firms want domain knowledge and site experience. Adjust your CV for each, rather than sending one version everywhere.
The pay reality#
Only 1 of 235 listings shows a salary. It is "Purchase Manager" at Kutty Flush Door & Furniture, posted at ₹2.0 to ₹5.0 LPA.
That single data point is not a market rate, so do not anchor on it. Reported pay for operations roles in India varies widely by city, seniority, and industry, and you should check the current official salary source or the employer's own posting before any negotiation.
Entry-level openings are thin too. Just 1 of 235 listings has an entry-level looking title, "Junior Data Entry Operator" at Aerones. If you are a fresher, widen your search to adjacent titles like coordinator, assistant, or executive, and be ready to start narrower than you would like.
How to apply this week#
Apply directly wherever you can. Find the role on the employer's careers page or the listing, and send your application there rather than only through a third party.
Mirror the listing's keywords. If the posting says "spare parts warehouse", use that exact phrase somewhere in your CV, assuming it is true of your experience. Many applications are filtered before a human reads them, and the filter matches words, not vibes.
Before you send anything, run your CV through the free ATS checker to catch formatting and keyword gaps that could get you screened out early.
The 7-step plan#
- Pick your target: choose 2 cities from the top 5 and 2 role families, such as warehouse and procurement, so you are not applying randomly.
- List 10 target employers from the snapshot, starting with Bosch Group, Exponent Energy, and Stripe, and find each one's careers page.
- Rewrite your CV for one role family per version, mirroring the exact keywords from three real listings you are applying to.
- Add numbers to your bullets, such as headcount handled, order volumes, or cost saved, because operations hiring managers read for measurable ownership.
- Run each CV version through the free ATS checker before sending, and fix what it flags.
- Apply to 5 roles per weekday, direct where possible, and log every application in a simple sheet with date, company, title, and follow-up date.
- Follow up once after 5 working days with a short, polite note restating the role and one line on why you fit.
Worked example: a CV bullet that gets read#
Weak: "Responsible for warehouse operations and inventory."
Stronger: "Ran daily spare parts warehouse operations for a 12-person team, cutting stock-out incidents by reordering on a fixed weekly cycle."
The second version names the domain, gives scale, and shows a method. That is what a hiring manager scanning 40 CVs is looking for.

FAQ#
How current are these numbers?
They are a snapshot taken on 14 October 2026 from the JobRise live jobs feed, counting open listings rather than surveying employers. Listings change daily, so verify the count before you plan around it.
Which companies should I apply to first?
Start with the ones hiring multiple operations roles, such as Bosch Group, Exponent Energy, and Stripe, because a wider team means more chances to fit. Then add Rentokil Initial, which has the largest volume of listings.
Do I need to be in Bengaluru to get hired?
No, but Bengaluru has the most listings at 57. If you are elsewhere, state your relocation willingness and timeline clearly in your application.
Are these roles mostly permanent?
Yes, 233 of 235 listings are full-time and 2 are contract. Expect employers to probe for long-term commitment and process ownership.
What if I am a fresher with no operations experience?
Entry-level titles are rare right now, just 1 of 235 listings. Widen to coordinator, assistant, or executive titles, and highlight any internships, project work, or handling of data and processes in college.
