Remote Operations Jobs Open to India Applicants (Oct 2026)

JobRise Team8 min read

You want a remote Operations job that will actually accept an application from India, and you are tired of listings that say "remote" and then quietly require a US work permit. As of 14 October 2026, JobRise's live feed shows 15 open remote operations jobs whose listing explicitly accepts applicants in India. That is a small slice, so treat it as a dated snapshot of our listings, not a market survey.

What the snapshot shows#

The counts below come from the JobRise live jobs feed (jobrise.io) on 14 October 2026. They are open listings, nothing more.

  • Open remote Operations listings accepting applicants in India: 15
  • Posted in the last 30 days: 13
  • Posted in the last 7 days: 4
  • Job types: Full-time (9), Contract (6)
  • Listings showing a salary: 0 of 15
  • Entry-level titles (intern, graduate, junior, trainee and similar): 0 of 15

Companies with the most open listings in this slice: Bridge33 Capital (5), SupportYourApp (1), Jumpcloud (1), Datamark, Inc. (1), Twilio (1), Rolling Arrays - Consulting (1), Irth Solutions (1), GroundTruth (1), Huzzle (1), Gitlab (1). Some of these are recruiters or staffing firms, so the name on the listing is not always the company you would work for day to day.

For wider context, all remote Operations jobs on JobRise number 2,060, and Jobs in India shows 1,867 open listings across all categories. The JobRise Hiring Report: India tracks how those country numbers move over time.

Example roles in the slice#

These are real titles from the 14 October 2026 snapshot: "(fluent English) Customer Support Consultant, hospitality (Global)" at SupportYourApp, "Director, Product Strategy and Operations -India" at Jumpcloud, "Customer Service Agent" at Datamark, Inc., "Onboarding Operations Specialist 1" at Twilio, "SF Senior Project Manager" at Rolling Arrays - Consulting, "Yardi Systems Administrator (Commercial Retail CRE)" at Bridge33 Capital, "Operations and Automation Analyst, EDO" at Irth Solutions, and "Salesforce Administrator and Development" at GroundTruth.

Notice the spread. There is one director-level role, several specialist and administrator roles, and a support role that is open globally. Almost none of them read as freshers' jobs, which matches the 0 entry-level titles in the count.

What "remote" actually means here#

"Remote" is not one thing. In listings that accept applicants from a specific country, it usually means one of four arrangements, and you should work out which one applies before you invest hours in the application.

Country-restricted remote: the employer hires in certain countries only, often because they already have payroll or a contractor setup there. "Accepts applicants in India" is exactly this signal, which is why this slice is worth your attention.

Time-zone remote: the role is location-flexible but the hours are fixed. A support or operations role covering US customers may want you online until midnight or 1 am IST. Ask for the exact overlap window in the first call.

Contractor: you invoice monthly, often through a platform, and you handle your own benefits, provident fund and time off. Six of the 15 listings are contract.

Employee via employer of record (EOR): a third party is the legal employer in India, runs payroll, deducts tax, and the client company directs your work. It feels like a normal job with one extra name on the paperwork.

Tax and contract basics#

I am not a tax adviser and rules change, so verify anything money-related with a CA or the official Income Tax Department source before you sign.

If you are on contract, you are typically running business or professional income. You may need to register for GST if your receipts cross the current threshold, raise invoices, and pay advance tax quarterly. Keep a separate bank account and save every invoice.

If you are employed through an EOR or an Indian entity, TDS is deducted from salary and you file as salaried income. Check that the offer letter names the legal entity, the notice period, and who owns any code or content you create.

Cross-border contracts add currency and payment fees. Ask whether you are paid in INR or USD, on what date, and who bears the transfer cost.

Scam red flags to watch#

  • Any request for money: "onboarding fee", "laptop deposit", "background check payment". Real employers do not charge you to start.
  • A recruiter who moves the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram only, and refuses a video call with the actual hiring manager.
  • A job offer sent before any interview, or after one 10-minute chat.
  • Payment in gift cards, crypto, or "we will send you a cheque to buy equipment".
  • Vague contract language with no legal entity name, no notice period, and no mention of who pays you.
  • Pressure to sign within hours, or to share Aadhaar, PAN, or bank details before a signed offer exists.

None of the 15 listings in this snapshot show a salary. That is normal for many listings, but it also means you should ask for the range early and treat any "earn 2 lakh a week" promise as a fraud.

How to stand out in remote applications#

Hiring managers for remote roles are buying two things: reliable output without supervision, and clean written communication. Prove both.

Rewrite bullets to show scope, tools and outcomes. Compare these two versions of the same experience:

Before: "Responsible for onboarding operations and customer support."

After: "Onboarded 40+ new accounts per month in Salesforce, cut average setup time from 3 days to 1 day, and handled 50+ English support tickets daily across email and chat."

The second version gives a number, a tool, and a result. Use a free ATS resume checker to confirm your formatting survives the parser before you hit submit.

Also say your working hours in IST and your internet setup in the first line of your cover note. Remote teams in other time zones screen for that.

A 7-step plan#

  1. Pick your arrangement. Decide now whether you want full-time employment, contract, or either, and note which of the 15 listings match. Nine are full-time, six are contract.

  2. Shortlist three roles from the snapshot and read each listing twice. Write down the exact tools named: Salesforce, Yardi, Twilio, and others appear in these titles.

  3. Rewrite your resume around those tools and outcomes. Run it through the free ATS resume checker and fix anything that breaks.

  4. Prepare a one-paragraph cover note that states your city, your working hours in IST, your internet and power backup, and your notice period.

  5. Apply within 48 hours of a listing going up. In this slice, 4 of 15 listings were posted in the last 7 days, so speed matters.

  6. Track everything in a spreadsheet: company, title, date applied, arrangement (contract or EOR), and the salary range you asked for. Follow up once after five working days.

  7. Before you sign, verify the legal entity, the payment currency and date, the notice period, and the tax treatment with a professional. Check the JobRise Hiring Report: India to see whether the wider India market is moving in your favour.

FAQ#

How many remote Operations jobs accept applicants from India right now?

On 14 October 2026, JobRise's live feed shows 15 open listings in this slice, with 13 posted in the last 30 days and 4 in the last 7 days. This is a snapshot of our listings, not a market total.

Do these remote jobs pay in INR or USD?

None of the 15 listings show a salary, so the currency is not stated upfront. Ask the recruiter directly, and remember that contract roles often pay in USD with transfer fees deducted.

Is a contract remote role safe for someone in India?

It can be, if the contract names a legal entity, states the payment schedule, and covers notice and ownership of work. You handle your own tax, GST if applicable, and benefits, so price that into the rate.

Why do some listings name a staffing firm instead of a company?

Staffing firms and recruiters post roles on behalf of the end client. Ask in the first call who you would report to and who the legal employer is, since that decides your contract and tax setup.

What is the fastest way to improve my chances?

Apply within two days of a listing going up, mirror the exact tool names from the job description in your resume, and state your IST working hours in the first line. Run your resume through an ATS checker before submitting.
