Write a brief AI can't misread

Module 1 : What AI already does in marketing

Plan du cours

Cette leçon n'est pas encore dans votre langue, la voici donc en anglais.

Petit test

Guess first, no penalty. You ask AI for a launch email and get bland copy that could sell anything. What's most likely missing?

A brief is the short note that tells a writer, or a tool, what to make. A human copywriter would ask you questions before writing. AI doesn't ask. It guesses.

So the brief has to answer the questions up front. Five parts cover most of them:

  • Audience: who reads it, and what they already know.
  • Offer: what you're selling, the price and the deadline.
  • Proof: facts that back the offer, like reviews or results you can show.
  • Limits: length, and what the tool must not say or invent.
  • Voice: how your brand sounds, best shown with a real past example.

A brief with all five parts

Write a launch email for our spring bike service.
Audience: people in Austin who ride to work and own one bike.
Offer: full service for $79 until April 30, booked online.
Proof: 4.8 stars from 312 Google reviews.
Limits: under 120 words. No other discounts. Don't invent numbers or quotes.
Voice: friendly and plain. Here's a past email we liked: [paste].

Every line answers a question the tool would otherwise guess at. The proof line matters most, because a tool with no proof tends to make some up.

Complétez les trous

Fill the gaps so the tool has nothing to guess.
