Check the news before it posts

Module 1: What AI already does in social media

Course outline

Quick check

Guess first, no penalty. You scheduled a playful promo post two weeks ago. Why check the news on the morning it goes live?

Scheduling lets you plan a month of posts in a day. It also means posts go out on days you didn't see coming. A cheerful post on the morning of a storm in your city, or a recall of your own product, can do more damage than skipping a day.

The fix is a short pre-post check, done on the day, for every post that's about to go live.

A pre-post checklist

Before it goes live today:
1. News: anything in the headlines or in our city that makes this post wrong today?
2. Claims: every number, price and date checked against the brief.
3. Hashtags: each one searched this week.
4. Comments: someone is free to answer for the first hour.
If 1 is yes: pause the post and tell my manager.

Fill the gaps

Fill the gaps so the check catches what changed.
