Petit test
Guess first, no penalty. A 60-message chat thread about two vendors ends with "OK, let's pick this up Thursday." The AI summary says "Decision: go with Vendor B." What happened?
Long threads rarely end with a clear decision. They drift, someone suggests a meeting, and everyone moves on. Summaries like tidy endings, so a leaning (an option most people favored) often comes out as a decision.
That's risky, because people act on the summary. A team starts work with Vendor B while the sponsor, the senior person who would have to approve the contract, never agreed.
So ask for three separate lists. Decided: only what someone with the authority clearly agreed to, with who and when. Open questions: what's still undecided, and who must answer. Leanings: what people favored that nobody confirmed. Then check each decided item against the quoted message.
