Meeting notes and action lists

Module 1: What AI already does in engineering work

Course outline

Spot the mistakes

Guess first, no penalty. Your site meeting notes say: Priya checks the anchor bolts by Friday 14 November. Omar suggested a second crane, and Dana said she'd think about it. The next meeting is Tuesday 18 November with the same group. Tap the three rows your notes don't support.

AI notes: site meeting

Meeting notes are only useful if they're right. AI notes read clean, so the mistakes are hard to spot. A task moves to the wrong person, an idea becomes a decision, or a date appears that nobody said. Everyone who reads the notes then acts on them.

An action list is a list of tasks, each with one owner and one date. Put an owner or a date in only if someone said it in the meeting. An idea that nobody agreed goes under open questions.

A worked example

A prompt is the message you type to the AI. This one makes the tool leave gaps instead of guessing:

Here is the transcript of today's site meeting. Write the notes in three parts:
decisions, actions and open questions.
For each action, give the owner and the date only if someone said them out loud.
If not, write "owner?" or "date?".
Put ideas that were discussed but not agreed under open questions, never under decisions.

Your turn

Fill the gaps

Fill each gap in the same prompt.

Meeting notes prompt

Give the owner and the date . Put ideas that weren't agreed under . If nobody named an owner, the tool should write .

Practice

Question 1 of 2

The AI action list says "Omar: order the crane, by Friday". Nobody said that in the meeting. What goes in your list?
