Quick check
Guess first, no penalty. An AI chat tool (an app that answers what you type) marks which job post keywords (the words recruiters search for) are already in your resume (the document that lists your work). What do you do next?
Reading a job post line by line works, but AI does it faster and more evenly. A prompt is the message you send to the tool. Paste the job post and your resume, and ask for one table with the columns you need:
I will paste a job post and my resume between separators.
For each keyword the job post cares about, give me a table with these columns:
Keyword | Type (hard skill, tool, soft skill, certification) | Required or preferred | In my resume? (yes/no)
Rules:
- Use the exact wording from the job post.
- For any acronym, write the long form and the short form once, like "Search Engine Optimization (SEO)".
- Decide "In my resume?" only by checking my resume text.
- Do not add keywords that are not in the job post.
=== JOB POST ===
[paste the job post here]
=== END JOB POST ===
=== MY RESUME ===
[paste your resume here]
=== END RESUME ===
Let the AI fill the "In my resume?" column first. That column becomes your to-do list.
