Booking and event details

Module 2: Do the job better with AI

Course outline

Quick check

Guess first, no penalty. A group booking email asks for "the 17th" with 24 guests and two vegetarians. What should AI do with it?

Bookings and events carry many small facts: dates, numbers of guests, room counts, meal times and dietary needs. One wrong digit can mean the wrong room, the wrong dish or an empty table.

AI can pull these facts out of an email into a clear list, which makes them faster to check. It can't confirm them. Only the booking system and the people who made the booking can do that. A prompt is the message you type into the tool, so ask it to list only what the email says.

Pull the facts out, then check

Here is a group booking email. List only what it says: date, number of guests, arrival time, room count, dietary needs and who to contact.
If a detail is missing or unclear, write "unclear" and do not guess.
Email: "Hello, we are 24 for the wedding lunch on the 17th. Two guests are vegetarian. Contact Maya."
